With more than 15 years of teaching experience across four continents (Asia, Europe, South and North America), Yomar has the experience to help students cross the boundary to find their own calligraphic and artistic voices and direction. Aside from his independently run workshops, he teaches in the role of assistant professor at San Diego State University and is a guest professor at School of Visual Arts in New York City. Previously, he was assistant professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Among other locations, Yomar has conducted his workshops at the BAU Design School in Spain, Anadolu University in Turkey, St Joost Academy in Netherlands, British Higher School of Art & Design in Russia, Escola Superior de Estudos Industrias in Portugal, Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark, as well as serving as a guest professor at Bauhaus University in Germany.
